Membership Levels

Thank you for your interest in the Black Innovation Leaders of Florida! Our mission is to unite organizations and innovation community leaders across Florida who share a focus on improving the current and future state of innovation within the black community. We’re a group of leaders volunteering our time to connect the state and further the prosperity of the Black community within.

Participating organizations and leaders are expected to be committed to ensuring engagement and initiatives supporting Black innovation in the Florida area that address the need to push equity, wealth, and opportunities for our community.

BILF is supported by our five Pillars:
  • Public Policy – Commitment of a 20-year annual budget earmarked for supporting black innovation support organizations.
  • Procurement – Develop and maintain partnerships and technical assistance with consultants to bridge the gap for procurement readiness and create a pipeline to black-owned businesses.
  • Talent – Provide multi-directional paths to certification allowing black talent from various disciplines to enter the workforce.
  • Education – Create and maintain annual partnerships with schools to provide technical expertise and guidance on new innovations.
  • Capital – Secures funding to fuel innovation and empower Black leadership across Florida.
Individual Member
Membership level for those who are directly impacted by BILF's mission, internal stakeholders of Florida's black innovation ecosystem, and committed to joining and participating in one or more subcommittees focused on the Pillars of BILF. As a member, you will receive the following benefits:
Access to discounted or complimentary content produced by BILF and/or cohosted by BILF
Professional development and online training events
First to know about and access resources shared to the BILF community before the public
Recognition amongst peers
Network of potential partnerships with other members
Network of potential partnerships with corporate, philanthropic foundations and public officials
Access to discounted or complimentary tickets from our partners
Ability to aid in providing better access to the resources needed to accomplish the goals outlined for the black community in the State of Florida
Nonprofit Organization
Membership level for nonprofit organizations* directly impacted by BILF's mission, internal stakeholders of Florida's black innovation ecosystem, and committed to joining and participating in one or more subcommittees focused on BILF's Pillars. You will receive all the same benefits as individual members, as well as the opportunity to:
Apply for projects or grants funded by BILF
Spotlight your organization’s year-round efforts
Share your organization’s events
Access resources and events to benefit your members and the communities you serve
Aid in providing better access to the resources needed to accomplish the goals outlined for the black community in Florida
Individual Partner
Membership level for individuals who are willing to contribute direct resources, knowledge, or funding to support BILF in achieving shared mission and goals. Must be directly impacted by BILF's mission, internal stakeholders of Florida's Black innovation ecosystem. As a partner, you will receive the following benefits:
Early access to events, webinars, or other resources that are not available to the general public
Early registration or discounts for events that are open to the public
Early sponsorship opportunities with member organizations
Network with other supporters, members of our organization, or individuals in the Black community who could be potential clients or partners
Regular updates on the impact of our organization's work and how the sponsor's support is making a difference in the Black community
Invites to participate in volunteer opportunities or community outreach events alongside our organization
Entity Partner
Membership level for entities who are willing to contribute direct resources, knowledge, or funding to support BILF in achieving shared mission and goals. Must be directly impacted by BILF's mission, internal stakeholders of Florida's Black innovation ecosystem. As a partner, you will receive the following benefits:
Recognition at events, website, social media, and other marketing materials
Exclusive access to events, webinars, or other resources that are not available to the general public
Early registration or discounts for events that are open to the public
Sharing your initiatives and events with our community
Early sponsorship opportunities with member organizations
Network with other supporters, members of our organization, or individuals in the Black community who could be potential clients or partners
Regular updates on the impact of our organization's work and how the sponsor's support is making a difference in the Black community
