This Code of Conduct outlines our commitment to integrity, equity, and professionalism and serves as a guideline for appropriate behavior within our network and at our events.
- Respect and Inclusion We are dedicated to creating a space where diverse perspectives, identities, and experiences are valued. All individuals, regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, genetic information, veteran status, socioeconomic background, or age, deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

- Encourage open and respectful dialogue.
- Ensure all voices are heard and valued.
- Responsibility and Integrity BILF members and participants are expected to act with honesty, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions. We commit to:
- Taking responsibility for our words and actions.
- Conducting ourselves with integrity in business, professional, and personal dealings.
- Addressing conflicts or concerns in a constructive and transparent manner.
- Harassment and Discrimination-Free Environment Harassment, discrimination, and any form of misconduct have no place within BILF. This includes but is not limited to:
- Unwanted physical or verbal conduct.
- Offensive remarks or behavior based on identity.
- Any form of intimidation, bullying, or retaliation.
Individuals found engaging in such behavior will be subject to disciplinary actions, including possible removal from BILF events, online discussions or membership.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Commitment BILF actively promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion by:
- Creating opportunities for underrepresented voices.
- Recognizing and addressing barriers to full participation.
- Supporting programs that uplift marginalized communities in innovation and leadership.
- Ethical Business and Professional Conduct BILF members and affiliates must maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct in all business and professional dealings. This includes:
- Avoiding conflicts of interest.
- Engaging in fair and transparent business practices.
- Honoring commitments and agreements.
- Compliance with Laws and Regulations All members, partners, and event attendees must adhere to:
- Anti-discrimination and equal opportunity laws.
- Data protection and privacy laws, including GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and other relevant legislation.
- Workplace safety and harassment prevention policies.
- Reporting Violations Anyone who experiences or witnesses a violation of this Code of Conduct is encouraged to report it promptly. BILF will address all concerns seriously and ensure appropriate action is taken.
