Black Innovation Leaders of Florida (BILF) Selects Kukua Institute as an Innovation Hub for IP Launchpad Program
[Tampa, FL] – December 20, 2024—The Black Innovation Leaders of Florida (BILF) is thrilled to announce the Kukua Institute as an official Innovation Hub for the IP Launchpad program. This partnership allows entrepreneurs to access weekly live assistance, podcasts, and training chat agents with the Patent Hacks—a trusted platform for navigating intellectual property (IP) processes and online training resources.
The IP Launchpad program is a transformative initiative to empower innovators and entrepreneurs in Florida with the tools and knowledge necessary to safeguard their intellectual property. This collaboration between BILF and the Kukua Institute marks a significant step toward addressing systemic barriers and unleashing the potential of underrepresented communities.
“This collaboration with BILF aligns perfectly with our mission to promote economic development, education, and innovation,” said Lloyd Reshard of the Kukua Institute. “Together, we’re equipping entrepreneurs with the tools they need to turn their ideas into impactful ventures.”
Empowering Innovators Through Education and Resources
The IP Launchpad program offers a comprehensive suite of opportunities, including:
- Virtual Training Series: Hosted in partnership with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), these free online sessions cover the essentials of trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets. Entrepreneurs will gain a strong foundation in protecting their ideas.
- Self-Paced Learning: Up to 1,000 Florida-based businesses will have access to online, self-paced courses provided via Patent Hacks. These courses demystify the patent and trademark process, offering a flexible and accessible learning experience.
- Ongoing In-Person and Virtual Training: Throughout 2024-2025, BILF’s four Innovation Hubs, including the Kukua Institute, will host additional sessions across Florida to deepen participants’ understanding of IP protection.
Join the Movement and Access the Resources
“Entrepreneurs and innovators interested in protecting their intellectual property can register for the self-paced courses or upcoming training sessions by visiting our site,” says Ebony Vaz, BILF Board member. “Ownership of what you create is a crucial step for building wealth.
